Cantilevered Awnings

Flat window awnings offer the traditional modern look. The window awning system allows the awnings to be set at any angle. The rear receiving channel is affixed and the awning simply clicks in and fastened. You can set the awning to any pitch to suit your needs. The awnings come in the following projections of 960mm, 1160mm, 1450mm and 1600mm. When you need an awning greater than this, you will need to go to a patio cover.

The awnings come in a variety of colour choices where you can mix and match. There are five (5) sheet choices of 8mm twin walled polycarbonate and four (4) aluminum joining bar colors. However, for an extra charge, we are able to powder coat to any special colour.

Patio Covers

CARBOLITE Patio Covers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. You can choose between the following.

• Bullnosed patio covers
• Flat Patio Covers

Bullnosed Patio Covers are the traditional look suiting older style houses. The polycarbonate sheet is heat formed in our factory and the end of each sheet is heated and curved to the radius. Normally, 8mm twin wall sheets cannot be bent that tight but the heat in the oven allows the sheets to soften and sag and then the sheet is curved around a steel barrel to form the curve. The sheet is then cooled. The bullnose uses 380mm of sheet. Gutters can be attached to the front. Flat Patio Covers: becoming more and more popular as they represent the modern straight lines in today’s modern architecture. Often put on a 4-5 degree fall to allow water run-off, gutters can be attached for water diversion. Both patio covers use aluminum box sections as the support structures. These member sizes vary depending on how far out the patio cover (i.e. the further the projection, the larger the beams). Please refer to our engineering page to view the patio cover frames. They show you exactly how the systems go together. The joining bars for the sheets are also curved for bullnosed or flat. The aluminum used is a curving quality temper meaning it can be cured without stress. Our rolling machines allow a complete curve if necessary. All frames for our systems are engineered designed and approved to meet the most stringent standards. They comply with AS wind load standards.
