Patio Covers
Patio Covers

Carbolite Patio Covers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. You can choose between the following styles.

Bullnosed Patio Covers are the traditional look that suits older-style houses. The polycarbonate sheet is heat formed in our factory, and the end of each sheet is heated and curved to the radius. Normally, 8mm twin wall sheets cannot be bent that tight, but the heat in the oven allows the sheets to soften and sag, and then the sheet is curved around a steel barrel to form the curve. The sheet is then cooled. The bullnose uses 380mm of the sheet. Gutters can be attached to the front.

Flat Patio Covers are becoming more and more popular as they represent the modern straight lines in today’s modern architecture. Often put on a 4-5 degree fall to allow water run-off, gutters can be attached for water diversion. Both patio covers use aluminium box sections as the support structures. These member sizes vary depending on how far out the patio covers (i.e. the further the projection, the larger the beams). The aluminum used is a curving quality temper meaning it can be cured without stress. Our rolling machines allow a complete curve if necessary. All frames for our systems are engineered, designed and approved to meet the most stringent standards. They comply with AS wind load standards.
